Truong Cong Dinh House

Truong Cong Dinh House is a family townhouse in Vung Tau, completed in 2025. From the street it stays discreet, behind a long timber-clad sliding gate and a board-marked concrete wall; above, offset volumes wrapped in bronze perforated metal screens shade the rooms from the western sun and keep them private while still letting light and air through.

Beyond the gate, a generous carport opens straight into the ground floor through large glass panels. Living room, dining room and kitchen flow together as one continuous space, ending in an inner courtyard planted with tropical greenery beneath a skylight. A white folded-steel staircase floats along the textured plaster wall, while a long timber dining table, Wishbone chairs and oak kitchen joinery bring warmth and order.

Upstairs, the bedrooms use timber floors, vertical timber panelling and sheer curtains to divide space softly. Each room has a reading corner with a rattan chair, a long desk by the window and an open bathroom behind frosted glass, where a double vanity looks out to the perforated screen and planters, drawing daylight deep inside.

The house brings together industrial materials and natural timber, privacy and openness – a calm, airy home in the coastal city.
