Joy Boutique Hotel
In the heart of the coastal city of Nha Trang, Joy Boutique Hotel is imagined as a small home for travellers: warm, full of greenery and rich in the materials and colours of the tropical seaside.
The facade is a pale plastered volume opened up by rows of arched windows repeated floor by floor. Each arch carries a planter, letting greenery spill down and slowly cover the building, forming a cool, green layer between the rooms and the street. At ground level, a moss-green glass frame, a timber canopy and clusters of tropical plants welcome guests straight from the pavement.
The lobby and shared spaces are where colour takes over: a long red table, blue perforated metal screens, cabinets clad in woven textile patterns, a stone floor dotted with patterned tiles, and pendant lamps shaped like conical hats. Ceiling fans, long benches and plants keep the space airy and relaxed, like a seaside café. Guests also share a kitchen, a large dining table and a laundry corner, making longer stays feel like home.
The guest rooms use a warm palette of earth and wood: sand-coloured textured plaster, timber floors, blush upholstered headboards, woven rattan lamps and arched walls lined with terracotta relief. Jade-green furniture, patchwork curtains and coloured glass screens give each room a playful character of its own. Bathrooms open towards plants and sky, with terrazzo bathtubs set on pebble beds and arched openings or round wrought-iron windows looking out over the city.
On the top floor, a pitched timber roof with exposed rafters shelters generous rooms that open onto planted terraces, where guests can unwind and watch the coastal city at dusk.
